Faith Formation

The Mission of the Faith Formation Program at St. Joseph Church is to foster spiritual growth and development in all children of the parish, regardless of special needs or circumstances. The goal of the program is to provide a safe and welcoming environment where learning through prayer, worship, community, and service to others will be done in the Roman Catholic tradition.

Faith Formation Schedule for the September 2023-2024 school year:

Children meet on Sundays; grades 1-6 at the High Bridge Elementary School & grades 7-9 on Curch grounds.

Faith Formation, formerly known as CCD (Confraternity of Christian Doctrine) is the name given to the process of religious and spiritual education of children attending public school. The purpose is to assist parents in their role as the primary religious educators in guiding their children to God. Great reliance is put upon the home to nurture the seeds of faith instilled in class in living out what is taught. This is not an easy mandate, but if ever parents are called to be attentive to the spiritual needs of their children it is now in this age when the very need for God is almost negated. Faith Formation promotes and encourages in a special way weekly participation at Sunday Mass.

If you are new to the Parish and need to sign your child/children up for Faith Formation class, contact, Mrs. Shari Schultz, our Parish Catechetical Leader at:
