Planning a Funeral
Planning a Funeral Mass for a loved one is one of the most difficult experiences we will face. Firstly, we would like to extend our sincere condolences for your loss. It is never easy to lose a loved one under any circumstances. Please know that you and your family will be in our prayers. St. Joseph Church is here to provide a comforting environment for you, your family, and friends.
When a loved one has been called home by God and you would like to celebrate the deceased loved one with a funeral or memorial Mass in Church, the Funeral Home will call us directly to schedule the Mass. In the event you are not using a funeral home, and would like to schedule a memorial Mass, please contact the Parish Secretary at (908) 638-6211 ext 1. Please know the parish secretary can order flower arrangements for you that will be delivered to the Church prior to the Mass. You are also welcome to select the readings. A copy of each reading, the first and second, will be emailed to you.
Our Director of Sacred Music is then notified and will reach out to you to plan the music to be played at the Mass. If at any time you have a question or concern, do not hesitate to ask the parish secretary. We are here to help you through this difficult time.
